In honour of the upcoming Remembrance Day, Greg Childs of London Branch will speak to us via Zoom on Thursday, October 20th at 7:30 pm about our famous Canadian war hero, Billy Bishop, who was himself descended from three proven lines of United Empire Loyalists. He is widely known as the top Canadian flying ace of the First World War but also played a significant role in WWII.

Greg will also include a segment about what it means to be awarded the Victoria Cross in Canada. The Victoria Cross (VC) is the highest and most prestigious award of the British honours system and has a slightly different meaning in Canada.
