The Hastings County Historical Society and the Belleville Public Library will be presenting by Zoom on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. “For a Better Life: Post-War Dutch Immigration to Canada’ by Napanee author, John Immerseel.

Beginning in 1947, almost 500 000 Dutch emigrants left the Netherlands. Nearly 200 000 arrived in Canada. The situation in Holland, reasons for emigrating, and the challenges facing the many families as they sought to rebuild their lives will be examined.
