Culinary Historians of Canada Lecture and Tour at the Oshawa Museum
Milk Stories: Remembering the Dairies of Oshawa
Do you remember the days of horse-drawn milk deliveries? When the milkman would quietly leave fresh milk and dairy products on your door step while you slept? Between 1907 and 1970, Oshawa was home to numerous dairies that made this tradition possible.
Join us by the shores of Lake Ontario for a visit to the Oshawa Museum to hear about commercial dairies of the past from museum curator Melissa Cole. In addition to the lecture, the visit will include a guided tour of the museum.
