Brian Martin, author of the new book “From Underground Railroad to Rebel Refuge: Canada and the Civil War”, will speak about his latest history book project published by ECW Press.

The talk will discuss the work of young women, known as Farmerettes, who took over farm labour when the young men went off to fight in the Second World War. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m.
