Thunder Bay Museum (In-Person and Virtual) Lecture: Creation of the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium
You are invited to join the Thunder Bay Historical Museum Society as Dr. Gary Polonsky presents a lecture on the creation of the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium.
Dr. Gary Polonsky was born in Port Arthur, Ontario during WW2 with his first home being next to the Royalton Hotel in what is now called the Parkwood Apartments. He attended Cornwall and Isabella schools, FWCI, and eventually earned three degrees, serving as President of two colleges and one university until retiring in 2006.
Gary lived in Thunder Bay until 39, launched trades training at Confederation College and led the creation of the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium.
His speech about the Auditorium will include many little-known and nasty details.
