Author Scott Kennedy will take us on a journey through the history of Hogg’s Hollow and York Mills from its beginnings to the present day in this illustrated presentation. Along the way we will discover early pioneers and the farms they established, how St. John’s Anglican Church welcomed its first worshippers over 200 years ago, and the rise of the estates on Bayview. The area’s rich history includes connections to Amelia Earhart and the famous thoroughbred racehorse Northern Dancer. Scott Kennedy, whose first address was RR#1 York Mills, has been witness to major changes in the neighbourhood over his lifetime.
