Witness a timeline of transportation as enthusiasts from across Ontario
showcase their antique and classic cars and vintage motorcycles during the 29th
Annual Transportation Day Car & Motorcycle Show, taking place on Sunday, July 12,
from 10 am to 4 pm at Lang Pioneer Village Museum.
Throughout the village, learn about how transportation has evolved over the years and
the roles various trades played in the development of transportation methods. Leisurely
peruse the cars, trucks, and motorcycles of every make and model displayed

throughout the historic village, and be sure to cast your vote for your favourite.
Tour the village by horse-drawn wagon and view a variety of historic demonstrations, including log hand hewing, Grist
Mill demonstrations, a tongue-in-cheek suffrage meeting at the Town Hall, and more. Take part in some schoolyard
games and races, and make a craft to take home with you at the Ayotte Cabin. Be sure to check out the display
brought by the Peterborough Model Railroaders. Stop to relax and enjoy music from the 50s to 80s with DJ Del and
Jenny Jams in the PCAHB courtyard.
Refreshments and sweet treats will be available for purchase throughout the day at the Keene Hotel, or stop by Ben’s
Kettle Corn, which will be popping up fresh kettle corn. The Keene Lions Club food truck will be on-site selling BBQ
goods (cash only). Fresh Empire Cheese curd, bread, and pickles on a stick will be available for purchase in the
Cheese Factory, or enjoy pancakes on a stick sold by Lea’s Creations
For those wishing to bring their car, truck, or motorcycle to display, participant registration runs from 8 am to 12 noon,
with a $10 registration fee that includes admission into the village. The first 200 vehicles to enter will receive a
complimentary dash plaque as a souvenir of their participation. Over 25 trophies will be awarded, including the
coveted People’s Choice and Lang’s Choice. Additional information for demonstrators is available on our website at
