Hamilton Public Library Lecture: Stonehenge – Explore the Mystery with Mike Parker Pearson
In the past two decades, research on Stonehenge has revolutionized our understanding of this iconic stone circle and its builders. Archaeological excavations and a remarkable range of scientific methods have cast light on many new aspects of when, how and why Stonehenge was built. In this talk, archaeologist and Hooker Distinguished Visiting Professor Mike Parker Pearson draws on his more than two decades of research to explain many of this 5,000-year-old stone circle’s secrets.
The Hamilton Public Library have collaborated with McMaster University’s Departments of Anthropology/History/Greek & Roman Studies/School of Earth, Environment & Society to present this lecture to the public.
