Guelph Historical Society Public Lecture – A Stolen Life: The Life of Richard Pierpoint

The speaker for Black History Month is Peter Meyler, co-author of A Stolen Life: Searching for Richard Pierpoint.
He will recount the story of Richard Pierpoint, a slave, and veteran of the American Revolution and the War of 1812 who established himself in the Fergus area with land in Garafraxa Township after the War of 1812.
