Join the Direct Descendants and Community Friends of Negro Creek in the Grey Roots Theatre, as they present The Early Black Settlers of Negro Creek.

Genealogist researcher Nancy Lee will share her research on some of the first families who came to the area, author Gael Jackson will read from her recently released book on Father Thomas Miller, artist Tony Miller will discuss the paintings he has created about his Negro Creek ancestors, and singer-songwriter Rob Green along with museum curators, Carolynn and Sylvia Wilson, will speak about the advocacy activities of the group.

Through words, images and song, this event celebrates the Negro Creek settlement and the work of descendants to commemorate this important history in Grey County.

The event runs Saturday May 13, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.
