Are you looking for an informative film to watch this February? If so, join the Canada Black Music Archives (CBMA) at the Archives of Ontario on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026. The CBMA will be running a screening and panel discussion of Portia White: Think On Me from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.

The screening will spotlight the enduring legacy of the legendary contralto, who was as international star. Portia White is known as one of the best classical artists of the 20th century and is a notable figure in Black Canadian Music History.

Following the film, Slyvia D. Hamilton will join a panel discussion with Professor Ola Mohammed and David “Click” Cox of Clk Creative that focuses on the film’s aesthetic, historical and cultural performance hosted by Professor Mark V. Campbell.
