Lang Pioneer Village Museum – Spooky All Hallows’ Eve

October 23 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$17

Enjoy an evening of fun and games as you explore the origins of favourite
Halloween traditions during Spooky All Hallows’ Eve, Friday & Saturday, October 23 &
24 at Lang Pioneer Village Museum. From 6 pm to 9 pm each night, you are in for a

frightfully good time as the historic village transforms into an array of haunting scenes.
Hold onto your seat as a tractor and wagon takes you deeper into the darkness of the village. Discover the history of
coffins and body snatching at the Carpenter Shop. Meet Stingy Jack and hear the legendary tale behind the jack-o’-
lantern, brought to life by Glen Caradus. Hear about paranormal investigations at the museum by ghost hunters, the
Paranormal Seekers, and see some of the specialized equipment they use to make their discoveries. Witness a
traditional 1890s Halloween party and take part in some party games.
Do you dare feel what is lurking in the mystery crocks, or try a treat from the Botched Bakery? Visit the witch’s lair to

discover your witch’s name and see her swampy brew bubbling in her cauldron over the fire. Witness the mind-
bending magic show in the Peterborough County Agricultural Heritage Building (sets at 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30)! Curious

about what your future holds? If you ask her nicely, Madam Fortune just might reveal what is to come. Learn fun hula-
hooping tricks from the ringmaster, make a Halloween craft to take home, and enter the colouring contest for a chance

to win a fang-tastic prize. As you tour the village, see if you can spot all the items on the pirate treasure map.
If your nerves are rattled and making you hungry, stop by the Hotel to purchase some delicious hot chocolate and
sweet treats, or visit Ben’s Kettle Corn, who will be on-site popping up fresh kettle corn. You can also satisfy your
sweet tooth with some candy and sweet treats available for purchase in the General Store.
Don’t forget to come disguised to blend in with the spirits and ghosts lurking in the Village, or enjoy spook-tacular face
painting by Faces By 2.
Enjoy an evening of eerie fun and learn a thing or two about how Halloween traditions began with Spooky All Hallows’
Eve, Friday & Saturday, October 23 & 24 at Lang Pioneer Village Museum! This all-ages event is sure to be a lot of
