The 14th annual symposium will explore the links and particularity of the expression of holiness in Coptic iconography and hagiographical texts from Late Antiquity to modern times. Innovations on the visualization of holiness will be discussed from interdisciplinary and methodological perspectives.
Dr. Gertrud J.M. van Loon, Research Fellow at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. Faculty of Arts, Near Eastern Studies. Will be joined by scholars from Australia, Canada, Egypt, France, Sweden, and the UK.
