In the early 1990s, when the Ontario Historical Society moved into historic John McKenzie House in North York, the McKenzie family donated John McKenzie’s hand-written order book, a rare artefact remaining from the original farm operation.

Filled with details of Mr. McKenzie’s financial transactions (and more) from 1899 to 1920, the book sheds light on what life was like in Willowdale at the turn of the 20th century.
