Swansea Historical Society Monthly Hybrid Meeting: Digging Deep into the History of Runnymede — the “In-between Neighbourhood”
April 2 @ 7:30 pm
We hope to see you at our April 2, 2025, meeting where our speaker will be Jim Adams, presenting “Digging Deep into the History of Runnymede — the ‘In-between Neighbourhood’ “. Jim Adams is a local historian and author who has been researching the history of one of West Toronto’s smallest neighbourhoods — Swansea’s neighbour to the north — “Runnymede”. He has been documenting its geographic, cultural, business, and residential history. Join in a lively quiz, and also learn about Jim’s first graphic little book, featuring local war hero, Fred Topham, VC.
The April meeting will be held in the Rousseau Room at the Swansea Town Hall, 95 Lavinia Avenue. We will offer our usual hybrid format for those unable to attend in-person. Zoom links are provided below. The Zoom connection will be open by 7:15 pm on April 2, and the evening’s programme will start at 7:30 pm. We request that members be on time, so that we can start the meeting promptly at 7:30.
(The Zoom links can also be accessed on the SHS website www.swanseahistoricalsociety.ca).
