Oshawa Historical Society Local History Speaker Series “Nobody Knows Ontario Like Ron Brown.”

October 17, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

We’re excited to welcome back a favourite speaker, Ron Brown who will look at Ontario’s Ghost Towns, vestiges of once-thriving towns and villages. While some still maintain small resident populations, others exist only as abandoned buildings and foundation ruins; they all are “ghosts” of their former greatness and their images evoke their lost legacies.

October’s Local History Speaker Series is taking place Tuesday, October 17 at 6PM. The Speaker Series will be held at the McLaughlin Branch of the Oshawa Public Libraries, in the lower level auditorium, located at 65 Bagot Street, Oshawa.

Due to anticipated high attendance, RSVP is required. Please book through the OPL Website: https://oshlib.bibliocommons.com/events/64dba0e05919183600080153

Oshawa Historical Society Members – to RSVP through the exclusive Member Link, please email Lisa at membership@oshawamuseum.org

The Local History Speaker Series is an event presented in partnership between the Oshawa Historical Society and the Oshawa Public Libraries.
