Norfolk Historical Society Talk: Stone Age People of Norfolk

November 14, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Just 13,000 years ago, people lived on the north shore of Lake Erie and may have been the first people to populate south-central Ontario. “Researchers are looking for answers,” said John Benson, who will speak about Stone Age People of Norfolk County.

The Norfolk Historical Society will host the talk on Sunday, November 14, 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at the Greens at Renton, 989 Concession 14. Simcoe, ON. As part of the NHS’ Speakers Series, Benson will share what he and researchers from the University of British Columbia and the University of Vienna have learned and are still discovering about these early people.

Benson added that Norfolk and Haldimand will figure prominently in at least six academic papers.
