Brave the darkness as we head into the city to explore the ghostly haunts of the Old Town of York\, and hear tales of dread and mystery from those who walked Toronto’s streets before us. The walk will proceed rain or shine\, so please dress for the weather. All tours will start at Toronto’s First Post Office and end at Campbell House Museum. SUMMARY:Toronto's First Post Office - Culture Days: Quill Writing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:To celebrate Culture Days\, Toronto’s First Post Office will be leading a quill-writing workshop on October 14th ! Write a letter as they did in the Town of York in the 1830s. After a brief introduction to all the materials\, and a few tips on mastering quill\, ink\, and sealing wax\, you’ll have the opportunity to write your very own letter which we encourage you to mail at Toronto’s First Post Office\, Canada’s oldest purpose-built post office still in operation. Don’t forget to bring an address! \nThis Culture Days activity is free with a PWYM donation option(Pay What You May)! 100% of proceeds go to material costs for the program.
