DESCRIPTION:The Coptic Museum of Canada is pleased to announce registration for an in-person art workshop COPTIC ICONOGRAPHY With ICONOGRAPHER KIROLOS KILADA. Registration deadline September 8! (or earlier\, if maximum registration is reached). Class number limited! \nDates & Times: Fri 15 : 7pm-10pm\, Sat 16 : 10am-5pm\, Sun 17: 1:30pm-5:30pm. \nLevel : 14 years old to Seniors. \nINCLUDED:\n— Lectures on the history and theology of Coptic iconography and also Modern Coptic Iconography as it moves forward.\n— The method of egg tempera.\n— Sketching image and begin proplasmos.\n— Painting demonstrations will follow each step.\n— Number of participants limited to allow the instructor time to guide each participant. \nTo Register: copticmuseumcanada@gmail.com\nDeadline: September 8\, or earlier\, if maximum registration is reached.\nFee: $240* which includes ALL 3 days. Full fee must be paid at registration.\n*The Museum subsidizes the instructor’s fees. \nKirollos Kilada is an artist based in Mississauga\, ON\, Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Design (BDes) from OCAD University. Kirollos has been commissioned to paint Coptic icons for churches and homes in Canada\, United States\, Australia and Europe for both Copts and other Christians. As an iconographer\, he endeavours to produce icons which are in symphony with centuries of Coptic tradition\, firmly rooted in Art History and Orthodox Theology\, through an approach that is dynamic and contemporary.
