DESCRIPTION:Folklore\, true crime\, heroes and Elvis: Oxford County’s most noteworthy\nmoments are captured in\, “Growing Stronger Together: A Celebration of\nOxford County’s Past\,” a new book by the Oxford County Archives that\ncelebrates the 175th anniversary of the County’s incorporation. \nA collection of stories about local people\, events and communities\, the\nbook has its origins in an Archives blog started during the COVID-19\npandemic to share interesting stories about the County’s past. DESCRIPTION:This November\, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI\, the Oxford County Archives is releasing a new book entitled ‘Honouring Oxford: The Cenotaphs and Memorials of the Great War” to commemorate local communities\, that chose to honour their fallen sons\, fathers\, brothers and friends through the creation of lasting memorials and monuments.
