SUMMARY:Albion-Bolton Historical Society: Walking Tour of Downtown Bolton & Plaque Unveiling
DESCRIPTION:Step back in time and explore the rich history of Bolton’s Heritage District on this engaging walking tour. Over the course of 90 minutes\, you’ll be guided through the charming streets of Bolton’s Village core\, where every corner tells a story of the town’s vibrant past. As you stroll through the heart of Bolton\, the Albion Bolton Historical Society will share fascinating tales of the people\, events\, and industries that shaped this community. \nAt the end of the Tour the Albion Bolton Historical Society will unveil a new plaque dedicated to George Bolton\, the village founder at the western end of the Bolton Mill Park. Those unable to participate in the walk can meet at the entrance to the park at Queen Street North and proceed a short distance to the Plaque at approximately 11:30. The plaque is part of the Society’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.
