“Technology Planning for Heritage Organizations: Lessons Learned and Resources from the OHS Reach Project”
Summary:
In an increasingly digital heritage community, how comfortable is your organization with tackling technology? Over the last year, the Ontario Historical Society has conducted the OHS Reach project, funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, to plan for modernizing our own programs and services… and we’ve learned a lot!
Please join us:
- to learn about our tech planning process and experience;
- to be inspired (we hope!) to pursue your own projects.
Topics covered will include website building, accessibility, choosing a content management system, IT assessments, finding and working with tech consultants, and more.
Speaker: Sarah McCabe
Sarah is the OHS Reach project manager at the Ontario Historical Society. A librarian and researcher, Sarah has spent the past year exploring the potential of the OHS as a provider of programs, publications, and services. Sarah is excited to share all of the lessons learned in technology planning through the OHS Reach project!
