SUMMARY:Thornhill Historical Society - Bus Tour to Prince Edward County
DESCRIPTION:The Thornhill Historical Society invites you to join us for a day trip to Prince Edward County. \nHop on the bus and join your fellow heritage enthusiast as we leave to explore Prince Edward County. Our visit will include a countryside drive\, a County museum visit\, a stop at a winery or cider\nfarm. The lunch stop will be in the charming small town of Picton\, where you can also explore the local stores. \nPrice $85 per person or $75 per person for 2 or more tickets (save $20!). Includes travel by highway coach & entrance fees. Lunch not included. Payment made at time of reservation. \nRESERVE HERE before May 22nd! Information about the final day tour stops and departure details will be shared via email to those who reserve by May 22nd. \nThis tour is made possible by the Thornhill Historical Society with a generous sponsorship from the Thornhill Heritage Foundation.

DESCRIPTION:Join Dave Rawcliffe on a Jane’s Walk as he takes us through what it was like in Thornhill in 1843 when Robert West arrived. \nMorning Tour:   10:30 am to Noon \nAfternoon Tour: 1 pm to 2:30 pm \nLocation: Robert West House\, 7780 Yonge St  L4J 1W3; entrance on Old Yonge St; parking at Thornhill Park. \nThe walk starts and finishes at the Robert West House \nVisit the Thornhill’s West Side Stories exhibition at the Robert West House\, presented by the Thornhill Heritage Foundation. \n-And- \nDrop by for a cup of tea and meet members of the Thornhill Historical Society at the Armstrong House on 42 Old Yonge Street (a 3 minute walk from the West House) while you learn more about the education\, advocacy and the archival work we do. \nJane’s Walk is organized by the Markham Cycling and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. \nThis is a FREE event. \n
