DESCRIPTION:Simcoe County Historical Association invites you to attend this special evening to share the memories of WWII as brought to us by the photographs collected by Mark Burchell and his father John. \nJohn served with the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserves during World War 2. The photographs tell the story of a sailor going through training\, two shore postings and culminating with a posting to the HMCS Restigouche tasked with escorting 14 convoys during the period September 1942 to July 1943.
