Ontario Women’s History Network Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Documentary Video

Ontario Women's History Network 30th Anniversary Video
The Ontario Women’s History Network (OWHN/RHFO) was incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation through The Ontario Historical Society by affiliation in 1990.

By: Rose Fine-Meyer, Secretary, Ontario Women’s History Network

Over the last 30+ years, the Ontario Women’s History Network (OWHN/RHFO) has provided a venue for educators from across Ontario to make contacts, develop projects, share resources, access course materials, and share new scholarship in the field of women’s studies and women’s history.

Independent scholars, university researchers, teachers, graduate students, public historians, and community members are all welcome.

2020 saw the 30th anniversary of our organization, founded by Dr. Alison Prentice, and like-minded feminist scholars and community members. To commemorate and honour this history we hired a local filmmaker and created a video that shares stories about our history. We welcome you to watch the video and consider joining our organization.
