Guest Speaker: Jesse Abbott Jesse will discuss his dissertation research that examines the relationship between martial masculinity and alcohol in the British army during the early nineteenth century. He studied the drinking habits of so-called "gentlemen-officers" who served in the Canadas, such as John Le Couteur, William "Tiger" Dunlop, and John Richardson. FORMAT: ZOOM
