SUMMARY:La Société d'histoire de Toronto: HISTORITOUR - Music Garden

SUMMARY:Kensington Market Historical Society - Kensington's Jewish Roots: A Guided Tour
DESCRIPTION:Specially presented for attendees of the Ashkenaz Festival\, this guided tour by the Kensington Market Historical Society (KMHS) bridges the gap between contemporary Yiddish culture and its deep-rooted heritage in Toronto. Taking place on Sunday\, August 30\, during the legendary Ashkenaz @ Pedestrian Sunday\, this tour explores how early Eastern European Jewish immigrants built the bustling open-air market that set the stage for generations of Jewish arts\, activism\, and community. Discover the physical and cultural foundations of the neighbourhood before enjoying the festival’s afternoon performances. \nStart: Baldwin and Augusta Stage
