SUMMARY:Norfolk Historical Society Speaker's Series: How I Found My Birth Family: Doug Grant's Life Long Journey ... Again
DESCRIPTION:In March 2018 Doug Grant shared his journey of discovery of how he found his birth Mother. As a result of locating information about her\, Doug has gained 68 new family members. As far as he knew he had no living birth family until four years ago. Since his talk last March\, Doug has located information about his birth father and his family dynamic. \nPlease join Doug on Thursday\, February 28\, 2019 at Grace United Church\, 18 Chapman St.\, Port Dover at 7:00 p.m. to hear more about his discoveries. \nMembers are free and guests by donation. \nMany people are taking a similar journey of discovery of their own family history and listening to Grant’s story may inspire you to take the next step to exploring your own past. During the ongoing research through his own initiative and that of a team of dedicated researchers; skeletons\, indiscretions and true-life drama began to emerge. His people were just that\, people\, with moments of greatness tempered with foibles and foolishness. Does this sound like it could be your family history? \nHosted by the Norfolk Historical Society as part of our ongoing Gallery Talk Series or Speaker’s Series. \nFor further information contact:\nMichele Grant\nPresident\, Norfolk Historical Society\n1-833-968-7647 ext. 202\nmgrant@norfolkhistoricalsociety.ca\nP.O.
