SUMMARY:Newcastle Village and District Historical Society Presentation: British Home Children in Clarington
DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars! \nBritish Home Children in Clarington\nA Presentation by Sheila Dodd \nExplore the history and lives of the British Home Children who were placed in Clarington. Sheila Dodd will highlight the sending agencies\, receiving homes\, and the challenges many British Home Children faced once in Canada. \nFree admission \nAccredited speaker with Home Children Canada\, Sheila Dodd will be giving a brief history about the BHC child migration scheme and some of the sending agencies and receiving homes in the area.
